Since 2000, The Institute of Interdisciplinary Yoga Studies (IIYS) has offered a liberal arts education program that includes the study of many yogic traditions, not holding one style over another. Our purpose is to empower those who want to learn, study and maybe even teach yoga at many levels. We support education learning opportunities at local studios who desire our support. We believe the more opportunities that a community creates to learn, the more we raise the awareness of everyone.

The 200 Hour program is offered in weekend modules in the Kansas City area and the immersion is offered periodically outside the US.

To apply for our 200-hour Program, please click here for the application. This training is offered through Dharma House School of Yoga, with Heather Rama, RYT500, and Christy Harris, e-RYT200, being the lead trainers. Christy teaches regular classes in Atchison, Kansas and Heather offers classes throughout the Kansas City Area.  Teacher training modules are offered monthly at the Muchnic Art Gallery, 704 North 4th Street, Atchison, Kansas 66002.

To apply for our traditional Ashtanga 200-hour and the Advanced 300-hour Programs,  please click here for more information. All Ashtanga teacher trainings are offered at Maya Yoga, 215 W. 18th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, 64108 in the Crossroads District of downtown Kansas City.
