Coursework Modules are up and available for registration for IIYS Teachers working towards their 300 and 500 hour certificates. The modules include all lead trainer contact hours required by Yoga Alliance to register at either level. Prospective teachers must have attendance and completion certificates to at least one BandhaYoga Workshop with Ray Long in the last 3 three years to register for any single module.
For those winding up their study for an advanced certificate, all four modules, the BandhaYoga Workshop, the Advanced Yoga Teacher Retreat at the Himalayan Institute in November, and classes with J. Renée DeTar at Maya Yoga in Kansas City, will satisfy the lead trainer contact hour requirements for Yoga Alliance registration at the 500 hour level. The remaining 165 elective hours can be of your choosing and focus. For those continuing in the IAYT program, all 165 hours must be completed at KC Yoga Center with Kelly Colln.
Restorative poses help relieve the effects of chronic stress by using props, sequences designed to move the spine in all directions, and a variation of an inversion is included. Using props facilitates the body and allows for complete relaxation in each pose.Read More
