Ayurveda Yoga Specialist Unit 4
January 11-13, 2019

This program is recognized by Yoga Alliance as a part of our advanced curriculum and NAMA by Kathryn Templeton through the Himalayan Institute. You do not have to take the coursework modules in order, however it is highly recommended. It is the only Ayurvedic training program that requires a 200-hour yoga certification from an approved yoga school to receive Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist Certification, ensuring our graduates understand a deeper knowledge of yoga. All dedicated yoga students and teachers are invited to take this training, and a letter of completion will be provided for those who do not wish to pursue a yoga teacher certification. All coursework is taught by Kathryn Templeton.

April 10-14, 2019

Participants will learn how to adjust pranayamas, kriyas and create client sensitive dinacharya practices based on vikruti observed. The Samkyha philosophy will be studied, discussed and compared with common contemporary belief systems; how belief systems support healing; and how the knowledge the archetypal studies from Sacred Contracts provides a neutral “owning” of what happens in one’s life. Chanting, mantra and various meditations will be presented and participants will learn how to recommend to yoga therapy clients based on their vikruti. Participants will explore extensive postural analysis for the feet, knees and hips and explore yoga therapies for alignment and pain reduction. This session will include yoga therapies, complementary therapies (Body Rolling and footwork) and various meditation practices. Ten hours of clinic are included in the module so participants will have hands on experience with a client while various documentation techniques are explored.
