Our goal is to provide a program and community to help you prosper – in your practice, in your studies, and in your career as an Ashtanga yoga teacher. We have created this professional development program in order for you to have greater expertise into the science of yoga. Our Ashtanga teacher training is advanced not only because you dive deeper into asana, but because you go deeper into your path as a teacher.
Kansas City’s most experienced Ashtanga instructors Kim Johnson and Gwen Hull will mentor you. Your education will be punctuated by attending two workshops of internationally known Ashtanga master teachers — TBA and David Williams, along with Renée DeTar, MA, E-RYT500, who will contribute to the knowledge of therapeutics and Ayurveda.
Our 300-hour Ashtanga training will focus on the full Primary Series and integrate therapeutic adjustments that is beyond regular adjustments. This will include the use of Intermediate Series postures for therapeutic needs and injury recovery. Students with an advanced primary series practice may be invited to begin a personal Intermediate series practice.
